On this page I will keep track of all the writing-themed posts (Novel Progress, etc.) I create for this blog so that anyone new to my blog and writing journey may easily catch up. I think it will be fun to see this list grow and see how far this series goes and where I end up.
In case you stumble upon this page before you’ve read any of these posts, Novel Progress is a weekly feature on Betwined Reads in which I share details about my writing progress as I work on my first novel as well as tips/advice/exercises that I’ve found helpful. They are pretty informal and generally end with “homework” that I give myself to work on until the next blog post.
I first introduced my current WIP (work-in-progress) in Writing Again // Introducing “The Log”. It is a YA fantasy novel about girl who everyone thinks is a monster and over the course of the novel discovers if they are right. There’s some mystery, adventure, and magical creatures: basically I’m trying to write a book that my younger self would have loved and, to a certain extent, needed. I think there’s a lack of strong and realistic female characters and I’m constantly aware of that as I write.
